Parthenon Metope South XXVII

A centaur appears to be fleeing right, but is held back by a man facing full front. The centaur's right arm is twisted behind his back, as if reaching for something. His left arm is raised, but is missing from the bicep, as is the centaur's head. The man appears to be grasping the centaur by the back of the head with his left hand. The man's right arm is missing from the bicep, but is raised as if about to strike. His head is also missing, and he is nude except for a cloak draped behind him.
