Theseus and the Minotaur Black-figure plate

Attic Black-figure plate featuring Theseus in the center, facing right, wears a loincloth and a wreath on his head, he holds a sword in in his right hand. He is stabbing the Minotaur in the neck. The Minotaur is facing right with his head turned back toward Theseus; he holds a rock in each hand. At the left, Ariadne watches. Her body faces left and her head turns right, toward Theseus. Her left arm is raised, gesturing. The plate's rim is decorated with a design of lotus blossoms.
