The Imperfect Tense: -μι Verbs

25.11 While the formation of the imperfect tense is relatively straightforward, there are a handful of –μι verbs that exhibit slight irregularities:

• δίδωμι δώσω give
• τίθημι θήσω put, make
• φημί φήσω say
• ἵστημι στήσω stand
• ἵημι ἥσω throw
• εἰμί ἔσομαι be

Note that δίδωμι uses –ου– in the singular (S 746b).
