311. The principal parts of a verb are the first form of every system used in it; thus they indicate the entire conjugation:

  παυ-
stop
κωλῡ-
hinder
Present System παύω κωλῡ́ω
Future System παύσω κωλῡ́σω
Aorist System ἔπαυσα ἐκώλῡσα
Perfect Active System πέπαυκα κεκώλῡκα
Perfect Middle System πέπαυμαι κεκώλῡμαι
Passive System ἐπαύθην ἐκωλῡ́θην
